BCB named the International Gallery (West) of the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium as the 'Manzarul Islam Rana Stand' in honor of Bangladesh and Khulna Division all-rounder Kazi Manzarul Islam Rana who died in a road accident in Khulna on March 16, 2007 at the age of 22.

Manzarul's mother Jamila Khatun, who was present during the formal declaration said: "My son was someone who was a pride for Bangladesh and Khulna. From the day he passed away people of Khulna demanded from their heart the naming of a stand at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium after him. Today our dream has been realised. I cannot thank the BCB President, the Board and the media enough."
